Linda Berg-Cross is a Professor of Psychology at Howard University in Washington, DC. and board certified in clinical psychology and behavioral sleep medicine. She has written three books and published over 45 peer reviewed articles. Her research is infused with cultural theory and relevance and is oriented towards finding empirical methods for reducing health disparities. Dr. Berg-Cross is the primary investigator and supervisor over a variety of ongoing projects and studies to include work that focuses on how sleep affects child development and family dynamics. She is also the developer of the SOS sleep program for new parents, which helps parents bond with the infant, increase success in breastfeeding, and reduce post-partum depression.
Melvin Bogard is the Marketing Manager in the Office of Digital and Online Learning at Howard University, pivotal in progressing Howard's visionary initiative of advancing online learning opportunities to increase equity in academic access. Before his role at Howard, Bogard served as the Digital Content Director at Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), where his passion for making a difference shone brightly. He spearheaded innovative projects, collaborating with industry leaders and healthcare experts, to create invaluable ADHD and coexisting conditions resources to support adults and children of families navigating the complexities of the disorder, with an emphasis on the Black and Brown communities.
Bogard graduated summa cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia with a BA in Mass Media Arts. He earned his MA in Emerging Media from Loyola University Maryland—solidifying his position as a forward-thinking media innovator. Beyond his professional pursuits, Bogard is an avid explorer of the digital landscape, constantly expanding his repertoire of digital media apps.
Dr. Walker is the CEO of Marie Pauline Consulting, LLC, her private practice dedicated to providing educational, clinical, and psychological guidance and expertise to organizations seeking to improve their social climate and enhance their diversity/equity awareness. She is a Howard University and University of Maryland, alumna and an Army Clinical Psychologist and faculty member at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, NC. Dr. Walker spent the last (7) years working with various hospitals/clinics, and schools conducting research on children with ADHD, their family, and various sleep variables and environmental factors. Dr. Walker collaboratively initiated Prince George’s County (Maryland) CHADD Chapter and the Southern Regional Support Center.
